Decorating for Christmas

So something really strange has been going on at my house. Mom and Dad have put a tree in the house. Yes, a tree- in the house! And they are hanging twinkling lights everywhere.
I am not sure what is going on, but Mom says Christmas is coming soon and we have to get ready. I am not sure yet where Christmas is visiting from, maybe California.

Know what else? I went to Grandma Debra's this weekend and she had a tree in her house too. Maybe Christmas is going to go to her house after he visits us.

It's all so exciting- I am worn out.
I need to investigate this Christmas a little more and get back to you.
Now Mom is saying something about a Santa Claus- and being a good girl.
I think maybe she is talking to Mimi.

Wonderful Thanksgiving
I just experienced my first Thanksgiving holiday! Wow, was it great. Everyone came to visit. Grandaddy Gaughf even brought Sandy and Gizmo to play with Mimi. (Bret and Jenny couldn't make it this year, but I will get to see them soon!)
Grandma Barbara made the prettiest, and from what I hear, the juciest turkey! I had so much fun playing with everyone and I hear Christmas is even better. I can't wait.
Mommy says that Thanksgiving is all about be grateful for all the many blessings in your life. Well I may little, but I can already tell that we have a long list to be thankful for.
Even breakfasts are good at Thanksgiving.

Okay I got this funny chair from Grandma and Grandpa Sidler, does that mean I can have some turkey now?

My Big Girl
Cali had her 4 month checkup with Dr. Summers yesterday. She now weighs 14 pounds and is 25 inches long. She received her second round of vaccines with no complications. Hope everyone is having a good week and staying warm! - Alison

Halloween in Tampa
I spent my first halloween at my Grandma and Grandpa Sidler's. It was my first time away from Mommy, and I had a blast! I went trick-or-treating at Ms. Adeline's house. It was definately a treat. She gave me another book to add to my library. Grace and Emma stopped by to see me. I can't wait until I can wear a princess outfit like theirs.
We had so much fun all weekend. Grandma said I behaved like and angel. (And I found out that Grandpa and I have something in common....
...we can both sleep anywhere! )

Our California vacation
Oh boy did we have fun in California. I finally got to meet my Uncle Bret and Aunt Jenny. Can I just tell you... Bret has the best rocking chair technique of anyone. There's no staying awake when he's a rockin'!!
I also got to meet all of my Grandma Barbara's family. My mom's cousin Megan married her sweetheart Brent at a vineyard in Temecula- That's why we all got together. It was a really pretty wedding. Everyone wanted to hold me and play with me all the time!! (Especially my Great Uncle Brian!)
Let's see, I met: Great Grandma Lo, Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Eddie, Great Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary, Great Unlce Brian and Aunt Pam, Cousin Jen and Mike and their kids Connor, Sarah and Ian, Great Aunt Joan and Uncle Mike and Cousin Chelsea.... Oh they're was just so many. I am so lucky to have such a big family. I can't wait until I can see them all again.
Weddings are fun.

Friends are forever...
In California I got to meet some of my mommy's best friends. We first spent the night with Winda and Tim. They are expecting little Taylor in February. I can 't wait to meet him too!!
Then in San Diego I got to meet Mommy's friend Angie and her little girl Ella. Ella is two. I wanted to play with her, but I have to wait until next time we visit. I wish we could see them more often!!
When we got home I finally got to meet Justin. His parents are Sheryl and Kalei. They used to be flight attendants with Mommy and now live right down the street! Justin is just 2 weeks younger than me. I had fun playing with him. I am sad though because they are moving to Melbourne soon. At least we can go visit!!
Visiting with everyone is the best time ever, but it sure can make a little girl tired! Think I'll go take a nap.

Takes so much of my time....
I apologize for being so far behind in my blogging. With all the fun stuff to do this month like watching football, the World Series, carving pumpkins, etc... I find my time to blog very little.
Anyway it's mostly taking care of this CRRAZZZYY Daddy that takes all my time. I'll be blogging all about my California trip real soon. ((((If he'd just take a long nap!!!)))

Aloha :)
We are finally home from my first vacation. Hawaii is beautiful! I flew on my first flight from Orlando to San Francisco and then another flight to Honolulu.
Mom and Dad said I was REALLY good on the plane. The flight attendants all said so too, and they even gave me a set of wings.

In Honolulu I got to meet my Grandma Merlita for the first time. She was so excited. She took really good care of me, and let Mom and Dad go out for a while. She sang to me all the time and loved to give me a bath.

I also got to meet lots of my auties and uncles. Rowena, Natty, Nellie, Natasha, Haole, Gillian, Rayme, and lots more. Everyone says that I am "sooo pretty"- Thanks Mom and Dad.

One of the best times I had was swimming at Magic Island. Dad says that's where his dad used to take him surfing when he was a little boy. I am so glad Daddy took me there. It was beautiful, and the water felt great.

I was very sad to leave Hawaii, but Mommy and Daddy tell me that we will go back next year. I will be old enough then to eat some of Daddy's favorite foods. He says that's the best part. I am so lucky to have so many people that love me so much. I love my Hawaiian Ohana, and can't wait to see them all soon. Aloha-

Cali's first shots

I took Cali to see Dr. Summers earlier this week. Del was sick and in bed, so Cali and I were on our own. I was really nervous, with all
the negative publicity about vaccines these days. Her doctor was very reassuring, and knowi
ng that all the shots are single dose and no preservatives, we went ahead with all the scheduled vacs. She did really well. A little crying, but no reaction afterwards. Sometimes children run a fever, or get a little sick for a couple of days. She now weighs 11 pounds!! Almost twice as much as when we brought her home. She is really growing fast. - Alison

Cali's Debut

This weekend we had a big time! My Grandma Debra's friends hosted my debut party at the Tampa Bernina store. Boy was it fun! Everyone brought me books for my library and just went on and on about how pretty I am. We had cake and punch and everything!!! Mom said I was very well behaved. (Wouldn't you be too for presents?) I cannot wait until Mommy and Daddy read me my new books. Thank you to everyone who attended; especially to Ms. Shirley and Ms. Susie for hosting. We spend the whole weekend with Gma Debra and Gpa Gregor. Mom says we are going to Hawaii in a couple of weeks, I wonder if it's as nice as Tampa??

first trip to the beach

Oh boy did I have a big weekend! Mom and Dad took me to the beach for the very first time. We visited Siesta Key just off Sarasota, Florida. Granpa Gregi and Granma Debra came and met us for the night. We even took Mimi. The weather was really nice Friday, but Saturday was cloudy because of Hurricane Gustov. Daddy played with me in the ocean and I loved it! But it did taste funny. Dad was real upset that Hawaii played so horrible against Florida, but Mom was glad Georgia won even though we couldn't watch. We had fun. http://www.productsunshine.com/calipages/first_time_beach_video.htmlThursday, August 28, 2008
Mom back to work
I've gone back to work three nights a week. Although I don't like leaving Cali, I do enjoy the adult interaction and of course the $$ cash $$ I bring home. It's nice for Daddy Del and Cali to have some alone time to bond. Although if you believe Del, it looks a lot like this while I am gone...

I think he exagerates just a litlle! :) He says I have magic dust that calms Cali down. I say, "It's good to be the Moma!" -Alison
