Almost February!

I can't believe it's almost February already. It's rainy and cold here today. We are spending all day inside. Guess what I can do now? ...Sit up on my own and play. I love it. And you know what else? Mommy and Daddy have been putting me to sleep in my pack-n-play and last night I slept 11 hours straight! Can you believe it? Also, mom gave me the best new thing to eat. They're called graham crackers, and boy are they good.

I was born just in time for this 'new era'!

6th month checkup

I saw Dr. Summers today for my 6th month checkup. He said my momma is doing a good job, because I am growing up healthy. I weigh 16 pounds now, and I am 27 inches tall. Dr. Summers says that I am in the 90th percentile for my age, which means only 10% of other babies my age are taller. Daddy is really happy about that. He wants me to be tall like him. I got more shots today too. They didn't hurt too bad. I am a pro already.

It's cold...

.. here in Florida! Mommy and I are spending a lot of time snuggling. I love these new jammies Aunt Jenny got me. Just wanted to say 'hi' .

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !

We are looking forward to 2009 here in the Ruiz house. This year I will have my one year birthday, I will get to meet Aunty Karen, I will learn to walk, and swim. And by the end of the year I will be talking everyone's ear off. Oh yeah- this is going to be a good year.

Also this year baby Taylor will be born to Aunty Winda and Uncle Tim, and congratulations to Aunty Kristi and Uncle Rob; they are expecting again.

Christmas in Macon

I finally got to go to Macon, GA -where my mom is from. We spent the second part of Christmas there with my Gaughf family. It was great to see Grandma, Grandaddy, Aunty Jenny, Aunty Liz, and Uncle Bret.

.. And I finally got to meet my Great Aunts Lorene and Clara, and my Great Uncles Doug and Frank. I had so much fun. Macon is really pretty, and Grandaddy has a swimming pool! I can't wait to go back in the summer.

After Macon, Mommy and I went to Atlanta and spent the night with Angie, Ella, and their family. Then we flew home to Orlando. ... Let me see that was my 6th flight!!! lol.... oh boy is Christmas tiring!

Christmas in Barney

In Barney, where my great granny lives, I got to see a lot of my relatives. I had never met my Great, Great Uncle Em and Great, Great Aunt Olive. I also got to see our good friends Vondel and Gayle MacKenzie. All of that before we even left for Macon. My Granny let me play the piano too. Thanks everyone for all my gifts. I can't wait to play with them.

Santa's Visit

Wow! Was Christmas the funnest ever! We celebrated Christmas eve at my Great Granny's house. When I woke up Christmas morning guess what? Santa had come to visit. He brought me a table and two chairs that are just my size. He also brought me a cup of my own to drink from and some bath toys. I have no idea how he got that table down the fireplace. I think he should just use the front door like the rest of us!!
